27/08/2026: "PRODUCT RECALL of some batches of The Simple Kind to Skin Micellar Cleansing Water in 200ml, 400ml and 730ml bottles. The Office for Product Safety and Standards (OPSS) has issued a recall notice for the items". 30/07/2026: USA website Prevention reports; "The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has issued a report on a nationwide recall of millions of Rohto eye drops due to “lack of assurance of sterility.”
30/07/2026: STOP PRESS: NICE recommendation for future use: "Low-dose atropine eye drops should not be used to slow the progression of myopia in people aged 3 to 14 years that has a progression rate of 0.5 dioptres (D) or more a year and a severity of -0.5 D to -6.0 D". Published PDF here.

09/07/2026: US Website Optometry Advisor "The US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has announced a class II recall of more than 2.5 million prednisolone acetate ophthalmic suspension eye drops manufactured by global pharmaceutical company Lupin Limited. The drops contained the “presence of a foreign substance.” The announcement comes on the heels of a similar product being recalled a month earlier — Pred Mild (prednisolone acetate ophthalmic suspension 10mL, AbbVie Inc)."
