Dosing ECP/HCP to advise. Generally 1 drop into each affected eye twice daily. "Treatment should be continued for at least 48 hours after the eye returns to normal". |

Indications "Fusidic acid eye drops are indicated for the topical treatment of bacterial conjunctivitis where the organism is known to be sensitive to the antibiotic". |

Contra-Indications/Cautions Hypersensitivity to product/class/component. Due to the potentially wide range and/or seriousness of the Contra-indications/Cautions relating to this product the prescriber of this medicine should fully aware of original documentation, SPC, Patient Information Leaflet etc. All pts should be instructed to read the Patient Information Leaflet before using product. Attention is drawn to this products POM classification. CLs should be not be worn with the use of product. If symptoms become worse - pt to seek medical advice immediately. Pregnancy/lactation. "Bacterial resistance has been reported to occur with the use of fusidic acid. As with all antibiotics, extended or recurrent use may increase the risk of developing antibiotic resistance". Store below 25C. Discard 1 month after product opening. Advise Pp to read and understand all accompanying product information before first use - EDDB. |
