The development and compilation of this database and the directories is a continuing labour of love, we hope you find it useful and interesting.
You will soon discover that, although it is called Eye Drops Database, and it was originally intended to be based on eye drops alone, from its launch in March 2015 it has quickly grown to include other types of eye care products and services that Eye Care/Health Care Professionals would want to know about. The summer of 2020 saw 650 different products listed, with over 100 being contact lenses!
In November 2015 the first of a number of Referral Directories was included (see Referral Directories in menu list), the first being a Dry Eye/Blepharitis Referral Directory to aid ECPs/HCPs who wish to refer patients for specialist treatment. In February 2016 a completely new product entry level was created to answer the need for more images and technical and/or clinical information, the choice now is being Featured or Premium Featured.
In May 2016 a completely new Patient Section was added which will continue to grow and evolve.
June 2016 saw the exciting and extremely useful Eye Safety Card added, this should probably have a shortcut of its own placed on your computer desktop, tablet or mobile device. It may not be over dramatic to say this could be sight saving! Please see the menu for other intresting rescources.
