How Supplied
Sterilised preservative free eye drops (10ml) in plastic bottle.
Dosing
ECP/HCP to advise. Generally 1-2 drops as required. Contact Lenses do not need to be removed.
Formulation
Sterile Solution containing:, Carmellose Sodium (Carboxy Methyl Cellulose) 1.0%, Boric Acid, Sodium Tetraborate Decahydrate, Sodium Chloride, Water for Injections.
Contact Lens Use
Yes, if required.
Indications
Dry Eye. Contact Lens Discomfort. "...can be suggested in case of a severe dry eye syndrome or in case of necessity more immediate protective action and lasting relief.".
Contra-Indications/Cautions
Advise pt to read and understand all accompanying product information before first use - EDDB. Hypersensitivity to product/class/component. Discard 90 days after first opening. Pregnancy/lactation - EDDB. "The product can cause a short-term blurring of vision after use. Do not drive or use machines until your sight is clear. Like all eye drops, there is a slight possibility that the product can occasionally cause mild eye irritation or stinging or itching, but this usually soon passes, and it can occur in a very small number of people". Do not store above 30C.
Adverse Reactions
If irritation occurs, persists or increases, pt to discontinue use and consult ECP/HCP - EDDB. "Leave at least 10 - 15 minutes before administration of any other ophthalmic drops". If vision changes or irritation occurs, persists or increases, pt to discontinue use and consult ECP/HCP.
