I have been using this unique new MG expression device for a few weeks now and can say it's a real step forward over struggling with improvised methods, I actually prefer it to the specific metal forceps I also have. I particularly like the fact it expresses multiple glands at the same time, avoiding having to reposition the expressor forceps a number of times along the lid. This gives me more confidence it is not uncomfortable for the patient and reduces the risk of ocular surface abrasion.

Undoubtedly this is going to aid my grading of meibum quality and quantity. I have now amended my DE and CL exam records to indicate it has been used, from a medico-legal point good I think. I feel it makes my DE and CL exams more detailed.
