"9th Acanthamoeba Keratitis Patient Event"

  If you have gone through acanthamoeba or are interested in knowing what is going on and the patient's voice, please join us on the "9th Acanthamoeba Keratitis Patient Event" that will take place online via zoom on the 22nd of June. (see you timetable). Let the world know we exist! This rare disease might be rare but many eyes and life are being affected and even destroy because of it.

This event is being organised by Dr  Nicole Carnt  a Scientia Senior Lecturer at The School of Optometry and Vision Science, UNSW Sydney,  Irenie Ekkeshis  Patient Advocate and partners with  Fight for Sight  UK to discuss the latest research in the battle to minimise vision loss due to AK. The speakers will be Ian West AK Research Fundraise, Dr Debbie Nolder from London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine - United Kingdom who has been granted a FFS PhD Scholarship Dr Darren Shu Jeng Ting  from the University of Nottingham - United Kingdom who has won FFS Small Grant award, Prof. John Dart an AK Clinician Expert Moorfields Eye Hospital and University College London - United Kingdom and  Juliette Vila Sinclair-Spence  AK Patient Advocate - The Netherlands
