Part Time Senior Lecturer positions in teach and treat clinics, Glaucoma and Medical Retina 

The School of Optometry and Vision Sciences, Cardiff University has worked with Cardiff and the Vale University Health Board to establish an NHS Wales University Eye Care Centre. We are seeking two motivated and forward-thinking optometrists to work as Senior Lecturers one day a week each in a 'teach and treat' clinic to supervise colleagues doing Higher Qualifications and to help develop, deliver, and evaluate postgraduate taught modules. 

We are looking for two optometrists. One with a Diploma in Glaucoma and a Diploma in Therapeutic Prescribing (Independent Prescribing) to work in a glaucoma clinic for one day a week (7 hours) and one with a Professional Certificate in Medical Retina and experience working in a hospital medical retina clinic (with Higher Cert Med Retina as desirable) to work in a medical retina clinic one day a week (7 hours). 

Our School is at an exciting cornerstone in its development of education as many people with eye conditions are now seen and treated by an optometrist. We are very much looking forward to welcoming new talent to our team to help support this development in our profession. Salary £51,799 to £60,022 pro rata.
